We are pleased to announce the first FEDSAS Mini Summit for Independent Schools.
An invitation is extended to all members of Independent School Management, Principals, School Management Teams, as well as prospective School Owners to join us for the day.
This event is designed to provide a comprehensive exploration of critical topics within the independent school sector, fostering a platform for professional development, networking, and strategic dialogue.
The summit will encompass an array of pertinent themes, including:
1. Post-BELAB analysis and implications for independent schools.
2. The cultivation and preservation of unique identities among independent schools.
3. Strategies for effective management of parent involvement.
4. A governance model grounded in the King Principles for independent schools.
5. SACE considerations concerning student and foreign teachers. (Presented by SACE)
6. Umalusi guidelines, processes, and compliance pertaining to school registration. (Presented by Umalusi)
7. The role of unions within the independent education space.
8. Exploring fundraising opportunities tailored to independent schools.
Registration fee is set at R450 (FEDSAS members) and R600 (non-members) per participant, and attendance is capped at 85 individuals.
