The following four sets of draft regulations will be discussed during the session:

• Election of members of school governing bodies;
• Minimum norms and standards for provincial teacher development institutes;
• Prohibition on the payment of unauthorized remuneration or other financial benefits to public service employees; and
• Regulations regarding the National Education Information System.

FEDSAS served on the task teams that assisted in drafting these regulations. During the session, we will brief members on their content, provide feedback on FEDSAS’s involvement and positions, and discuss how schools can participate responsibly and meaningfully in the public comment process.

The deadline for the submission of comments is 5 September 2026.
